Sophomore stats: "I was injured most of the season (sprained ankle). It kept me out of four games, and it limited me to a lot of time. I played half games, so I didn't start anymore. I played quarters and stuff like that, they needed me to come in for a while."

Role model: "I don't really have a role model, but I'd have to say Kobe Bryant is my overall favorite athlete."
Best sports memory: "My senior year at Taft High School, we played our rival, Birmingham High School. We were winning by six points and they were on their last drive and I had an interception for 70 yards and it basically sealed the game for us."
On the first time he knew he was good enough to play at the next level: "Junior year of high school. I lead the city section with eight interceptions and I just felt like I could take my talents to the next level because everyone was telling me about how good I could be if I put the work in."
On moving to ASU and being on his own: "I'm really excited to grow up and get this experience over with and started at the same time. I think living on my own will be a slight struggle at first without my parents, but I'm up for the challenge. I'm excited for it, I'm ready."
Why ASU: "It felt like home. The new coaching staff made me feel like I'm a part of the family already and they have a vision that I respect with discipline and hard work. I'll basically play some old school football, never trying to trick you too much as far as defense goes. I can see that they're very serious about this upcoming season and that change will be made fast. The guys that I've met have bought in already to assist them. That's why I stuck strong with my decision on ASU."
On his goals for next season: "I want to make All Pac-12. I don't have a stat ready yet but somewhere around six interceptions, 30 or 40 tackles and 15 pass breakups. It's going to be hard, but I don't want to give up any touchdowns. And if I stay healthy and do everything right I want to be an All-American in the long run."
On his signing day plans: "I want to stay at home with my mom and sign."
