Favorite food: Steak
Favorite movie: Long Survivor
Favorite music type/artist: Rock and Roll/ACDC
Favorite female celebrity: Carrie Underwood
Favorite NFL player: Rob Gronkowski
Favorite hobby: Going to the gym, playing basketball
Role model: To be like Gronkowski. He's relentless, he's dominating, he's big, seems like a cool dude. It seems like a good way to play the game and enjoy life
Best sports memory: Probably a long touchdown I had in the championship game or the WCAL long touchdown I had my junior year against Serra. It felt great, a 67-yard touchdown. It took a while but it was fun.
On the first time he knew he was good enough to play at the next level: I feel like I knew I was good enough from the second I started playing football but I didn't know how to get there with contacting coaching and getting myself out there but once I learned that it took off from there.
On moving to ASU and being on his own: It's exciting. I'm really pumped about being able to be around the team and the atmosphere all the time, everyone with the same goals going toward the same path and feeding off all their energy. I'd love to become more of a dynamic football player. I'm pretty comfortable with the area. I have a lot of friends and family in Phoenix too so it's kind of cool.
Why ASU: The coaches made it feel like, comfortable, a good place to go. I wasn't really looking for facilities or stuff like that. I wanted strength of program and the people I was going to be around for four or five years, who their legacy was, having a good, enjoyable experience.
On his goals for next season: My mindset is to play a significant amount. I don't know about starting but that's the No. 1 goal. If I can achieve that as soon as possible I would love that and I'm going to work toward that. I feel my role coming in will be more determined by what I do in practice and the weight room but I feel I have as good a chance as any to get playing time.
On his signing day plans: We have a signing day thing at school so I go there and do that but I have all the paperwork here. It's awesome because it's kind of the dream getting wrapped up. It's not just a thought, it's on paper, it's here, it's really cool.
