Best sports memory: "My junior year we played against our biggest rival, Kathleen High School. It was a home game we won the game by one point. Our last offensive play was designed for a wide receiver and I made a great block during that play."
On the first time he knew he was good enough to play at the next level: "When I started comparing myself to other athletes on the team because if I was able to hang with them on the field then I could probably play college football."
On moving to ASU and being on his own: "I'm living with my brother right now so that helped me grow up and mature a little and that will prepare me more. I'm really anxious and excited."
Why ASU: "I think it was the best fit for me as far as playing time... and they have a good coaching staff and I believe in what they are trying to do out there."
On his goals for his junior season: "To learn the plays quickly and try to get playing time as a freshman and learn the offense."
On his signing day plans: "Sign with ASU, have a little party at school and just move on from there."
