Wicker, rated as the No. 12 defensive tackle and No. 95 overall by Rivals.com, commitment ended what had been a rough day for ASU after it lost out on some prospects earlier in the day.
The 6-foot-4 275-pounder could be an impact recruit for the Sun Devils on the field next season. He projects as 3-technique tackle, the position played by Will Sutton. Wicker was recruited to ASU by wide receivers coach Delvaughn Alexander.
Wicker was credited with 138 tackles, 26.5 tackles for loss and 11.5 sacks this season for Long Beach Poly.
