Mammoth Oklahoma OL Gets First Offer

There are few high school players in Oklahoma's class of 2010 who are already holding college scholarship offers but the latest one to join the elite ranks is Owasso offensive tackle Trent Spurgeon. The 6-foot-8, 250-pound offensive lineman had been something of an unknown coming into this season but playing left tackle for a team with two seniors committed to big 12 schools along the offensive line can draw attention.

With so many schools paying attention to the North Tulsa program it's no surprise that one finally came through with a scholarship offer for the talented behemoth lineman.

"Kansas State offered me on Sunday actually," Spurgeon said.

Along with Spurgeon the Rams boast Oklahoma State commitment Brandon Webb and Kansas commit Gavin Howard forming perhaps the nation's most talented offensive line. With such talent, to grade out as the unit's best is a real achievement.
