An offer from UGA is on the way

Offensive line was a pretty strong position at the Mark Richt Camp in Athens last weekend. There was a mixture of potential interior linemen, tackles, underclassmen, and upperclassmen working under Stacy Searels. One of the best of the group was an out-of-state tackle in the class of 2010.

"At the end of the camp, my dad (Fork Union Military Head Coach John Shuman) and I met with Coach Richt. He told us that they are really interested in me and that will be offering me in the future."

"Coach Richt said that they would send me an offer during the season or during the spring. He told me that they really like me."

The Dawgs basically offered Shuman a scholarship after his camp performance, so he must have performed at a high level.

"I think I did alright, but I know I could have done better. I did better in the morning session than the afternoon I think. I am pretty happy with my overall performance though."

The 6-foot-6, 270-pound tackle had the opportunity to work under Georgia's offensive line coach Stacy Searels. Shuman enjoyed the experience.

"Coach Searels is a great coach," he stated, "I really liked his energy and intensity during the whole camp."
