Marshall discusses his decision
CarolinaBlue.com has the exclusive interview with the newest member of the Tar Heel family, Kendall Marshall. The 6-2 sophomore point guard has decided to go ahead and make it known that he's verbally committing to the University of North Carolina. CB's Clint Jackson spoke one-on-one with the Heel's newest commitment.
CarolinaBlue.com-- So tell us what it was exactly that made you commit to UNC...
MARSHALL - You know, it's just always been a lifelong dream of mine. Ever since I was a little kid, I've always wanted to be a Tar Heel. I've worked and worked to achieve that dream of being offered, and now since I got that offer I have a chance to play for North Carolina. And now that the chance is here, I wanted to jump on the opportunity of a lifetime.
CB -- And your lifetime, being just 16 years old... talk about which players you watched that had the biggest impressions on you...
MARSHALL -- I can think back and remember Ed Cota. Cota ran that team so well and I just always wanted to play that role. I watched Raymond Felton as well. I'd say both of those guys were probably the most influential for me at least. Just the way they ran the team, I've always envisioned myself at that position.
