In the last two weeks Mill Creek offensive lineman Kelsey Griffin has named Georgia as his leader, and taken a surprise visit to Athens to spend time with players and coaches.
On Friday the four star defender made the short trip from Hoschton to attend UGA's annual Dawg Night event held at Sanford Stadium, and many thought a commit might be coming.
According to Griffin, he just isn't ready to take that leap just yet.
"I'm going to wait a little bit before I commit," said Griffin. "I'm not ready to do that yet."
With no intention of committing at Dawg Night, Griffin was able to relax on Friday and just enjoy the environment.
"I really had a good time and just enjoyed being out there," said Griffin. "It was a good atmosphere and I liked hanging out with the guys out there. I spent time with Derrick Henry, Shaq Wiggins, J.J. Green, Tray Matthews, and Trey Johnson, and we all had a good time."
Since the Rivals250 prospect has taken two trips to the Classic City since named the Bulldogs his leader a couple of weeks ago, it is doubtful that Georgia has lost any ground.
According to Griffin, they may have even lengthened their lead.
"Right now, my top five is still the same and I'm not ready to narrow it down yet," said Griffin. "Georgia is clearly in the lead by themselves. They are out there, but I'm just taking it day by day because things change a lot."
Now that Dawg Night has come and gone without a pledge from the Mill Creek defensive lineman, when can fans expect a commitment from Griffin?
It could be soon or it could take awhile. He just isn't sure at this point.
"I'm not sure when I'll decide to be honest," said Griffin. "I'm going to be at South Carolina on Monday, so I'm just going to enjoy that and enjoy the process and decide when the time is right."
