Strengths: Karl is a combo-guard with pretty good ball-handling and passing skills. He excels in the open court when he uses his court vision to his advantage. He's also a very good outside shooter and has a quick release - with NBA range. Karl shows good basketball IQ for the most part, and plays a nice role as a complementary player. Weaknesses: Karl lacks in athleticism and size, and doesn't have a very good first step with the ball. This hurts him in the halfcourt, where he can't consistently create or take the ball to the rim. His passing game sometimes suffers when he tries to get too fancy with his moves, especially when he throws unnecessary lob passes. Defensively, he plays with good fundamentals but his lack of quickness and athleticism can't be ignored. Outlook: Karl likely won't be drafted, but he should get a chance to make a team through summer league. He had a strong performance at the Orlando pre-draft camp. He's a good passer, ball-handler, and shooter, which may be enough for him to overcome his lack of athleticism if he finds the right situation.
