Bruins Run Past Humboldt

BruinSportsReport.com UCLA gave its fans an improved performance on Thursday evening in Pauley Pavilion as the Bruins jumped on Division-II's sixth-ranked Humboldt State early, en route to an 87-61 victory in the final exhibition game of the preseason. The Bruins used an 18-2 run during the first half to open up a 26-7 advantage over the Lumberjacks before going to the locker room for intermission up by 14, 41-27.
UCLA was 7-10 from three-point range during the first half, paced by Arron Afflalo, who had 16 points at the break. Afflalo went on to finish with 18 for the contest, bettered only by Josh Shipp and his game-high 21 on only eight field goal attempts.
