Rocker says yes to Georgia Tech

New Market (Ala.) Sparkman linebacker Albert Rocker, who has long favored the Yellow Jackets, didn't want to wait any longer and risk losing a spot in Georgia Tech's rapidly filling class. Rocker made the call last night and committed to assistant coach Joe D'Alessandris, becoming the Jackets' 16th overall commitment in the Class of 2007.

"Albert told them last night," said Sparkman head coach Roger Haynes. "He talked to Coach D'Alessandris. They'd been talking to him for a long time. Georgia Tech has been in the lead. They got all their paperwork in, their academic people accepted him and Coach D'Alessandris called me last week and told me everything was ready if he wanted to commit. Rocker talked to his parents and he felt it was the best decision. They've always been in the lead in Rocker's mind so he went ahead and did it last night."
