Three Stars 6-foot-3 190 pounds Alpharetta (GA.) Alpharetta
Dobbs committed to ASU several weeks ahead of an impressive showing at the Elite 11 event this summer, during which he was selected to the prestigious all-camp team. He is currently the No. 21 ranked pro-style quarterback in country.
Three Stars 6-foot-5 210 pounds Scottsdale (Ariz.) Notre Dame Prep
Martinez chose the Sun Devils over offers from Cal, Iowa State and Oregon State. UCLA, Stanford and Oregon also showed a lot of interest before his commitment. A long and lean prospect with ball skills and the frame to add weight.
Three Stars 6-foot-4 220 pounds Euless (Texas) Trinity
Arizona State received a verbal commitment from the 6-foot-4 220 pound Euless Trinity athlete in July. Reese has played receiver and H-back for Trinity before, but his senior year will be the first at tight end.
Three Star 5-foot-10 185 pounds Florence (Ariz.) Florence
As a junior, Brown played quarterback for a team that went 10-3 and reached the Division IV state semi-finals, rushing for for 1,629 yards and 27 touchdowns and throwing for 872 yards and four touchdowns. ASU was the first offer for Brown.
Primary Quarterback Targets
Three Stars 6-foot-2 195 pounds Tahlequah (Okla.) Sequoyah
As a junior Scott was 158-of-253 passes (62.4 percent) for 2,270 yards and 26 touchdowns. He is committed to Memphis and if the Sun Devils did need to add another quarterback in this class they may look at Scott as one of the initial targets.
Primary Running Back Prospects
Three Star 5-foot-10 211 pounds Alpharetta (GA.) Milton
The 5-foot-10, 211-pounder who chose Ole Miss in July is very close to ASU QB commit Joshua Dobbs so his situation is one to monitor. Claims a bench press max of 365 pounds and runs a 4.52-second 40-yard dash.
Three Stars 5-foot-10 175 pounds New Orleans (LA.) G W Carver
"I'm thinking about it. I really like Arizona State," the three-star Brazley said about breaking his commitment to Ole Miss after being offered by ASU after its camp in July. He has been committed since February but does seem in play.
Three Stars 5-foot-10 180 pounds San Diego (Calif.) Madison
The nation's 35th-ranked running back prospect chose Arizona over offers from ASU, UCLA, Boise State, Nebraska and Vanderbilt among others. In his junior season, Cormier rushed for 1,471 yards and 20 touchdowns.
Four Stars 5-foot-10 195 pounds Cocoa (Fla.) Cocoa
The Rivals250 back rushed for 1,295 yards and 17 touchdowns as a junior. He also had 12 receptions for 324 yards and two touchdowns and recorded six interceptions while playing as a safety.
Three Stars 5-foot-10 189 pounds Deland (Fla.) Deland
Rated the 18th best all-purpose back in the country chose South Florida over ASU, Kentucky, Nebraska, Pittsburgh and West Virginia among others. As a junior, Kemp rushed for 1,163 yards on 178 carries and 14 touchdowns. He has said he will still take visits.
Four Stars 6-foot 188 pounds Redlands (Calif.) Redlands
As a junior, the UCLA verbal commit rushed for 1,534 yards and 15 touchdowns while averaging over nine yards per carry. Lee was pretty quiet about favorites before his commitment to the Bruins but sources close to his recruitment believed ASU was very much in the mix.
Four Stars 5-foot-10 180 pounds West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade
The 5-foot-10, 180-pound back from West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade has cut his list of offers to four schools: Washington, Oregon, Cal and Nebraska. Whether ASU can get back in the mix is unknown at this time.
Three Stars 5-foot-9 192 pounds Dalllas (GA.) East Paulding
Last fall despite missing time with injury, Thomas still led East Paulding with 921 yards rushing on 137 carries including 13 scores. The 5-foot-9 192-pounder has been clocked with 4.4 speed and is ranked as the 13th best all-purpose back in the country.
Three Star 5-foot-11 185 pounds Atlanta (Texas) Atlanta
As a junior, the 5-foot-11, 185-pounder 1,865 yards and 24 touchdowns on 220 carries. Webster is ranked as the 12th best all-purpose back in the country. He committed to Oklahoma State in June over offers from ASU, Arkansas, Texas A&M, TCU and Texas Tech among others.
Three Stars 5-foot-11 195 pounds Long Beach (Calif.) Poly
Arizona, ASU, Utah, UCLA, USC and others were showing interest in Wicks, who rushed for 772 yards and 11 touchdowns in his junior season, when he committed to Washington State. ASU has strong ties at Long Beach Poly, so he is one to watch.
Four Stars 6-foot-1 192 pounds Philadelphia (Penn.) Imhotep Institute Charter School
As a junior, Williams rushed for 1950 yards and 20 touchdowns. The four-star back has recently said that he plans to visit Tennessee, South Carolina, Wisconsin and Arizona State. He is the 19th best running back prospect in the country according to Rivals.com.
Primary 3-Back/TE Targets
Four Stars 6-foot-5 250 pounds Woodland Hills (Calif.) Pierce CC
The 6-foot-6, 250-pound prospect has more than 25 scholarship offers. He is unofficially visited ASU already and is considering ASU along with Florida, Nebraska, Mississippi and Oklahoma. He is an elite prospect that would probably start right away.
Three Stars 6-foot-6 245 pounds Memphis (Tenn.) Harding Academy
The two-way standout committed to Vanderbilt on Wednesday. How solid of a commitment he has made is unknown at this time. He projects to defensive end for Vanderbilt but the Sun Devils like him at tight end.
Primary 2 Receiver Targets
Three Stars 5-foot-10 165 pounds Lancaster (Texas) Lancaster
Ayers is very similar to Nick Brown. He has seen extensive minutes at quarterback, earned all-district honors at receiver for his 21 receptions for 365 yards and six touchdowns. He has made a verbal commitment to Washington State.
Four Stars 5-foot-10 175 pounds Santa Monica (Calif.) Santa Monica
The four-star Santa Monica receiver totaled less than 560 yards receiving last year with six scores. Despite his lack of production he has been highly sought after and gave USC a verbal commitment in June. Since that time LaRue has gone on record saying that he is still looking at other schools.
Three Stars 6-foot 175 pounds Lakewood (Calif.) Lakewood
Shepherd earned first-team all-league and all-area as a junior after hauling in 31 receptions for 472 yards and six touchdowns while averaging 15.3 yards per catch. He also had 89 yards on the ground, averaging 22.3 yards per carry and scored two rushing touchdowns.
