Saturday Practice: In-Depth Defensive Observations

In a sweltering heat Saturday afternoon, the Florida football team practiced in full pads in front of both fans and the media at the Sanders Practice Fields.
Astoundingly, the 16-session workout was less physical and ran at a much slower tempo than Friday's practice. Fans hoping for a practice full of hitting and one-on-one drills were likely disappointed, as the majority of the sessions on the nearest fields concentrated on multiple defensive back drills. Head coach Will Muschamp continued to protect his newly adjusting offense, moving most of the 11-on-11's (and one 7-on-7's) to the far fields.
