Urban renewal at WVU

MORGANTOWN--It was the week before Signing Day 2008 when West Virginia head coach Bill Stewart put out the word: get to Pittsburgh ex-burb North Huntingdon to make sure Tyler Urban flipped the Mountaineers' way.

That was late January, 2008. Coach Stew was fresh off a victory over Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl. His words: the tight end was in, again.

That was three seasons ago. Since then Urban's broad shoulders and big hands have been generally relegated to a blocker's as an assortment of coaches tried to figure out whether he was a left tackle or an H-Back.

Fast forward to Feb. 3, 2011--one day after Signing Day this year--and a third position coach's enthusiasm pre-dates anything seen before.
